Hmmm.. It has been a long time since I shared my happy things with you.. So its time to blog about something that you may feel happy, or give away a gentle smile after reading this. I'm going to tell you a story now.. The title for the story is..
"Beauty and the beast"
Long long ago, there lived a beautiful girl. She lost her parents in an accident only few weeks ago. She has no other relatives or friends that she was all alone in that city. She was from a poor family, so in order to do her living she has to do some work. She tried to get a good job, but she didn't get any. At last she got a job as a cook in a hotel near her house.
She was happy that she got a good job, that too near her house. Days passed by......
One day as she was entering into the hotel kitchen she saw something moving across the window. She got scared, slowly gaining her courage she went near the window. Inch by inch getting closer to the window through which she saw something strange happening. As she touched the window, BANG the window closed... She could feel her heart in her mouth at that moment...
So much scared about this strange happening at her hotel kitchen she walked slowly back to her house in the evening. At this moment that poor little girl doesn't know that someone is watching her....
The next day she came to her work and everything was going exactly in the way it has to be. But.. today she saw that thing out of her window. It was a beast, something with a horrible face, pointed nose, it was scary... After watching that ugly face she couldn't concentrate on her work, she was very much disturbed thinking what it is going to do.
Next day... Today the girl came early to work, as it was vacation time and the hotel may have lot of customers. Being vacation, they prepared numerous varieties of food items like cakes, cookies, and other eatables. The girl prepared cookies and she has to make it dry before served, so she took all the cookies in a plate and went near the window. As she opened the window she was very much scared because of that beast.
She had her heart beating at a faster pace now, slowly she opened the window and found that no one is out there today. Feeling relaxed, she kept that plate of cookies near the window. Then she started preparing other items. As she turned to get the cookies back, ..... The beast was slowly crawling inside her window, it was nearing the plate of cookies. She didn't know what to do, encouraging herself she decided to do the daring thing...
She started to fight with the beast, though she had some fear inside her.. she decided to finish it today. The beast started to attack her, being a girl she had soft and gentle hands. As she tried to defend herself from the beast, the beast pierced her hand and she was bleeding ...
Then the beast took some cookies and jumped out of the window... she thought it will get hurt falling from there.. but suddenly it unfolded its wings and flew.. The beast had wings bigger than its whole body... The girl watched it stand on top of the next building, She went near the window and shouted at the beast-- " I'll have my revenge in this life or the next "... The beast showed its wrath by giving a wild screeching sound .. " Ka Ka-- Kaaaaaaaa Kaaaaaaa-- Ka Ka--"
Yes that beast is nothing but the crow, and the beauty is none other than Paati..

An Indian walks into a New York City bank and asks to
see the loan officer. He says he is going to Europe on business for
two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of
security for such
a loan, so the man hands over the keys of a new Rolls
Royce parked on
the street in front of the bank.
Everything is checked out, and the bank agrees to
accept the car as
collateral for the loan.
An employee drives the Rolls into the bank's
underground garage and
parks it there.
Two weeks later, the man returns, repays the $5,000
and the
interest,which comes to $15.41.
The loan officer says, "We are very happy to have had
your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely,but we
are little puzzled.
While you were away, we checked you out and found that
you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is why would you
bother to borrow $5,000?"
The Indian replied,"Where else in New York can I park

Sachin and Sourav 75*
Ganguly And Sachin
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, now pretty old
guys, 75 and 76 years old,
are sitting on a park bench feeding pigeons and
talking about cricket,like they do every day.
Sachin turns to Sourav and says, "Do you think there's
cricket in heaven?"
Ganguly thinks about it for a minute and replies, "I
dunno. But let's make a
deal: if I die first, I'll come back and tell you if
there's cricket in
heaven, and if you die first, you do the same." They
shake on it and
sadly, a few months later, poor Sachin passes on.
One day soon afterward, Ganguly is sitting there

himself when he hears a voice whisper, "Sourav...
Sourav!"
Ganguly responds, "Sachin! Is that you?"

cricket fever.. The temperature goes high..
Oh my God!! this was THE match that consists of lots and lots of twists and turns.. The second match between the CLOWNS and MAVERICKS. It was a pleasant day, and we the students were busy doing our record works. This time there was no hype for the match from the beginning. But it slowly raised as the day progressed towards evening.
Evening!!! Today we didn't go for having snacks. Everyone was in the ground( but BRR came late!!). It was the toss, but this time we Clowns lost the toss. Mavericks chose to bat 1st. As in the previous match Prabhakaran the Natamai bowled the first over. The Mavericks blasted to a flying start. We took few wickets but GJ and Nandha the bakery were playing nicely. We made the same mistake by bowling wides and no balls. Atlast we settled for a score of 110 in 12 overs.
The same opening pair for the Clowns, myself and Vaidhi. But this time Vaidhi took the strike as the target is quite high, 111 in 12 overs. First ball, Vaidhi plays it straight to the fielder and dashes for run, misunderstanding between Us . Result is I sacrificed my innings for the sake of team, 0 for 1. Then Dilli Babu the Big show came to play. I took the long walk back. We started losing quick wickets, but runs were coming on nicely. We were 32 for 4 in 3 overs.
Vinoth the balli came to the wicket. He played some nice shots through the off side. Dilli and Balli were playing nicely. I was made the by-runner for Dilli, so I made all the running part. Then Nandha came to the attack, Balli went for the big shot couldn't get it correctly, great catch by DK in the deep. Dilli-Balli partnership came to an end. Then Gopi went to the wicket. He played some shots and the score board was ticking. We reached 104 in 10 overs.
With just 7 runs required, Gopi got out. This over was bowled by Chandru the Gopal . He bowled a good line just gave away 4 runs. So we needed 3 runs to win off 6 balls. GJ came to bowl the last over. First ball SK the hero of 1st match got out.
3 of 5. Ram the rod took the strike. Edge and gone, two wickets in two balls. GJ the captain of Mavericks strikes hard. so 3 of 4. Then Vinodh the doll took the strike, pushed the ball gently and a flash they ran two runs. Now the scores are level, so its 1 of 2. Same ball, Vinodh nicks it to the keeper, gone. Now sai to face the last ball of the innings with just one run required. GJ on fire. 3 wickets in 5 balls.
GJ came dashing towards the wicket and bowled the last ball at a good length, everyone could feel the adrenaline rush at that moment. Sai edges it to the keeper and thats it 4 important wickets in 6 balls by GJ. Its a tie. We couldn't do anything, thats great bowling performance by GJ. The captain of Mavericks stood in front as an example. Great match ended in a tie. But the only hope is, We CLOWNS still lead the MAVERICKS 1-0. Thats the end of the great thriller... Waiting for another match like this...

Cricket fever in my class...
Hi friends today I'm gonna speak about the sudden hype about playing cricket in my class.. It all started on this Wednesday when a weak side asked my dept. to come for a match. But they forfeited the match due to practicals.
At that moment, we casually started speaking about playing a match within our classmates that evening. Soon it become an issue as the teams were split as Rapstors VS BRR . As some other members in our class wished to play that day, it was decided to change the team names. Then it was decided that the match will be played with the team names, Mavericks VS Clowns.
Until evening , there was complete cricket fever. We even stopped writing record due to this!!! Then show time... We had a great day, it continued like that as Clowns won the toss. My teammates had confidence on me, so they asked me to open the innings. We had a good start, but it didn't last long. I fell for a full length delivery by Senthil the Rustic. The score was 17 for 1 in 3rd over. Then we had some quick wickets, Mukil the mokkai gave away a maiden over to RS the rocket. He sacrificed his wicket to save our team from defeat. Then we had a constant flow of runs, SK the Nallavan, was playing nicely he took us near the target. Bad luck for him, he couldn't score the winning runs. Ram the rod scored the winning runs for Clowns. Hurray, We won the match in grand style. Clowns lead the series 1-0. WE are looking forward to the next match on Friday evening..
At that moment, we casually started speaking about playing a match within our classmates that evening. Soon it become an issue as the teams were split as Rapstors VS BRR . As some other members in our class wished to play that day, it was decided to change the team names. Then it was decided that the match will be played with the team names, Mavericks VS Clowns.
Until evening , there was complete cricket fever. We even stopped writing record due to this!!! Then show time... We had a great day, it continued like that as Clowns won the toss. hurray.. finally India Won
After a struggling performance by master blaster(?) sachin , Indians reached a decent score of 291.. But its the Australians who dig their own hole... They had a good partnership, Hayden was going on nicely, then Symonds did the damage. Suddenly they started losing wickets and they couldn't reach the target in the 50 overs !!!
Is there any illegal things going on inside the Australian team? Are they playing their natural game? Only God can judge them..

Managers Vs Engineers
A team of young budding Managers were given an assignment to measure the height of a flagpole. So the Managers discussed and put up a project plan with roles and responsibilities. The manager who was responsible for organizing the resources went out and got a ladder and a tape.
The tape measure was just the ordinary tape of 6 feet.
The lead manager assigned another manager to go on top of the pole and start the measure. They were falling off the ladders, dropping the tape measures - the whole thing was just a mess.
An Engineer came along and saw what they' were trying to do. He walked over pulled the flagpole out of the ground, laid it flat, measured it from end to end, gave the measurement to one of the managers and walked away.
After the Engineer went away, one manager turns head to another and laughs.
"Isn't that just like an engineer? We're looking for height and he gives the length"
Moral: No matter how good engineer you are, Managers always find fault in you .

Hi friends..
I'm a new postie here..
I came to know about PPP from my friend. He asked me to start blogging and register my blog at PPP. Initially I don't know anything about blogging. But after some days I realized the part of PPP for the new developing posties.. They are providing various opportunities for the bloggers. What is confidence????

Surprise
Because I could not stop for Death,

P.S. - This poem is written by emily Dickinson. I posted it here, cause (i might sound like praising myself) I just could not ignore the striking resemblance between this poem of hers and the way I write always. The imagery, the way she has chosen the words, the shape and structure of the poem and so much more, reminded me of how I write, not as good ofcourse. Perhaps resemblances like these to great poets makes me still stick to the dream of writing well someday...I wish I could. Amen!

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a

During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call para me dics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the party. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. So me ?don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient me dically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

So me ti me s symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE .
T *Ask the person to TALK , to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently: It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
{NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue... if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke}
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call e me rgency services im me diately and describe the symptoms. This is URGENT

the nescafe and the vada pao
Its not very often that i find myself at home in a new city so quickly. I always assumed that was because of my own need to familiarise, but now i'm having different thoughts. Of late, acclamitising has become easy enough. All i have to do is walk into a Cafe Coffee day or a Barrista Coffee bar or even one of the multiplexes around and i'm back in known territory. Its insane that places have become so standardised that once i'm inside, it makes no difference whether i'm on nungambakaam high road or vijay char rasta!
Same colors, similar furnishing, menu cards and prices, people all dressed the same way - honestly, one cannot expect bright, cotton tie-dyed clothes here, desi prints and all of that .Everyone around are in levi's. Ghagra's and mirrorwork seem to be for tourists only.
Globalisation and whatnot.. Its the era of MNC's, glass boxes and Panner tikka pizza. Its already happened everywhere , i guess its old news but this is me speaking from a sudden exposure to this reality. Language and conversation are still almost the only reminders that i'm not in home ground.
This though, is only one half of the story. There is apparently another side to this city - literally- the Older sections of ahmedabad where you can still find traiditonal pols (houses) and a lot of local attractions (and if you know me you would know i'm not talking tourism). Hopefully that should help make me feel like i'm actually seeing new places.
Then again, some people (read: my father) take comfort in the fact that cities have become so modernised that you get everything you need here, just as you would do, at home. I'm not complaining much about that either really :D it makes life simpler if i can depend on continuing my breakfast routines and "thair sadam" lunches. I guess i'm not the kind to rough it out for four whole months.. i need assurances of some kind, some measure of familiarity, but the romantic that i am, i must confess i expect a lot more local flavor.
As long as i still take that early morning walk to drink some chai or late night walks to get some vada pao, i'm keeping myself happy with thoughts of being in a new environment, while i can still have the familiar comforts of honey cornflakes, nescafe and radio mirchi during the day :D
