But driving at higher speeds may be risky. In order to be on the safer side we have to fulfill the norms of the Government. We must have proper insurance, paid road tax, have license etc.

In order to help us here is a site that links you to get any kind of insurance for your car.Whatever you own, be it a sports car or a classic one, you can get insurance for it easily..
Other than insurance it also provides link for certain policies like commercial policies, student policies etc..

Ways to reduce stress...

Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what
may happen tomorrow and it doesn' t happen, you have
worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to
worry twice.

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say No to projects that won' t fit into your time
schedule, or that will compromise your mental health

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.

7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough,
two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult
projects over time; don't lump the hard things all
together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is
a c oncern, find out what God would have you do and
let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about
a situation, forget it.

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards
for ordinary purchases.

13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an
extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps,
etc.

14 K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of
advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in
line.

17. Get enough rest.

18. Eat right.

19. Get organized so everything has its place.

20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help
improve your quality of life.

21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.

22. Every day, find time to be alone.

23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to
nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's
time to go to bed to try and pray.

24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair
and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."

27. Laugh.

28. Laugh some more!

29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.

30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are
doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it
the most).

32. Sit on your ego.

33. Talk less; listen more.

34 Slow down.

35. Remind yourself that you are not the general
manager of the universe.

36 Every night before bed, think of one thing you're
grateful for that you've never been grateful for
before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR
YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Some funny or cool laws that I read..

Hi friends here are some funny lines that I read last week. I wanted to share these with you. I'm adding some of my responses to them as well.

Murphy's Law:

*If anything can go wrong, it will..

If nothing goes right, you might be wrong.

Pudder's Laws:

* Anything that begins well, ends badly.
* Anything that begins badly, ends worse..

If you prevent them at the beginning nothing will happen.

Silverman's Paradox:

If Murphy's law can go wrong, it will..

Even Silverman can go wrong as well.

Murphy's time/action quandary:

You never know how soon it will be too late...

Oh my goodness, I really love this last quote.

Friends Forever

Written with a pen.
Sealed with a kiss.
If you are my friend, please answer this...

Are we friends
Or are we not?
You told me once.
But I forget.

So tell me now
And tell me true
So I can say…
“I’m here for you”

Of all the friends
I’ve ever met,
You’re the one
I won’t forget

And if I die.
Before you do,
I’ll go to heaven
And wait for you.

I’ll give the angels
Back their wings
And risk the loss
Of everything

Just to prove my friendship is true…
I will make this promise to you
You will always be in my heart
No matter how far we are apart.

I am so glad to have a friend like you.

I got this one from my friend..
Hw nice it is to have friends..
I have a good friend.

Hi friends..
I'm a new postie here..

I came to know about PPP from my friend. He asked me to start blogging and register my blog at PPP. Initially I don't know anything about blogging. But after some days I realized the part of PPP for the new developing posties.. They are providing various opportunities for the bloggers. PPP helps the bloggers to easily earn money for the reviews they make. Opportunities from various fields like general technology, business, entertainment, health etc.

What I have learned from PPP is the ability in myself to review any product that is available in the market. It also helped me in learning about new fields, new technologies, different kinds of people etc. Friends what I'm doing here is not a Himalayan job. We are just proposing our views on different products available in the market and we are getting paid for that.
I haven't made any new friends yet.. but i'm sure that i'll make new friends as i'm new and i know that the people here have a very good helping tendency.. In PPP they provide us with very good customer care support. They give answers to all your questions as early as possible.

I would like to earn some money and pay my telephone bill by myself.. so i'm working hard towards that..

What is confidence????

A hypothetical situation where 20 CEOs board an airplane and are told that the flight that they are about to take is the first-ever to feature pilotless technology: It is an uncrewed aircraft. Each one of the CEOs is then told, privately, that their company's software is running the aircraft's automatic pilot system. Nineteen of the CEOs promptly leave the aircraft, each offering a different type of excuse.

One CEO alone remains on board the jet, seeming very calm indeed. Asked why he is so confident in this first uncrewed flight, he replies : "If it is the same software that runs my company's IT systems, this plane won't even take off." !!!!

Surprise

Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.

We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.

We passed the school, where children strove
At recess, in the ring;
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.

Or rather, be passed us;
The dews grew quivering and chill,
For only gossamer my gown,
My tippet only tulle.

We paused before house that seemed
A swelling of the ground;
The roof was scarcely visible,
The cornice but a mound.

Since then 'tis centuries, and yet each
Feels shorter than the day
I first surmised the horses' heads
Were toward eternity.

P.S. - This poem is written by emily Dickinson. I posted it here, cause (i might sound like praising myself) I just could not ignore the striking resemblance between this poem of hers and the way I write always. The imagery, the way she has chosen the words, the shape and structure of the poem and so much more, reminded me of how I write, not as good ofcourse. Perhaps resemblances like these to great poets makes me still stick to the dream of writing well someday...I wish I could. Amen!

Women!!!!!!!!!

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a
sudden, he said out loud, "Lord, grant me one wish." The sky clouded above
his head and in a booming voice, the Lord said, "Because you have
tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish."
The man said, "Build a bridge to hawaii so I can drive over anytime I
want."

The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the
enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to
reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I
can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly
things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you
think would honour and glorify me."

The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I
wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside,
what they are thinking when they give the silent treatment, why they
cry, what they mean when they say 'nothing', and how I can make a woman
truly happy."

The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four lanes on that bridge..

Awareness about stroke..

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call para me dics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the party. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. So me ?don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient me dically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STR OKE
Thank God for the sense to re me mber the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!
So me ti me s symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE .
T *Ask the person to TALK , to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently: It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

{NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue... if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke}

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call e me rgency services im me diately and describe the symptoms. This is URGENT

the nescafe and the vada pao

Its not very often that i find myself at home in a new city so quickly. I always assumed that was because of my own need to familiarise, but now i'm having different thoughts. Of late, acclamitising has become easy enough. All i have to do is walk into a Cafe Coffee day or a Barrista Coffee bar or even one of the multiplexes around and i'm back in known territory. Its insane that places have become so standardised that once i'm inside, it makes no difference whether i'm on nungambakaam high road or vijay char rasta!

Same colors, similar furnishing, menu cards and prices, people all dressed the same way - honestly, one cannot expect bright, cotton tie-dyed clothes here, desi prints and all of that .Everyone around are in levi's. Ghagra's and mirrorwork seem to be for tourists only.
Globalisation and whatnot.. Its the era of MNC's, glass boxes and Panner tikka pizza. Its already happened everywhere , i guess its old news but this is me speaking from a sudden exposure to this reality. Language and conversation are still almost the only reminders that i'm not in home ground.

This though, is only one half of the story. There is apparently another side to this city - literally- the Older sections of ahmedabad where you can still find traiditonal pols (houses) and a lot of local attractions (and if you know me you would know i'm not talking tourism). Hopefully that should help make me feel like i'm actually seeing new places.

Then again, some people (read: my father) take comfort in the fact that cities have become so modernised that you get everything you need here, just as you would do, at home. I'm not complaining much about that either really :D it makes life simpler if i can depend on continuing my breakfast routines and "thair sadam" lunches. I guess i'm not the kind to rough it out for four whole months.. i need assurances of some kind, some measure of familiarity, but the romantic that i am, i must confess i expect a lot more local flavor.

As long as i still take that early morning walk to drink some chai or late night walks to get some vada pao, i'm keeping myself happy with thoughts of being in a new environment, while i can still have the familiar comforts of honey cornflakes, nescafe and radio mirchi during the day :D
Hoping for a lot more.

Post script - do most people have such conflicting thoughts or is it just me? :)

Good bye....

"I feel so numb', she thought, rubbing her hands on her arms, in an effort to keep warm. She didn't know how she managed to get through the funeral. There were people around her, friends and family, but she couldn't remember who was there with her. All she knew was that her sister was dead. Not coming back.

She still felt detached, unable to believe it. Whenever the door opened, she turned eagerly, half expecting Tania to walk in. And then there would be the gut-wrenching realization that that would never happen. She didn't know if she had come to terms with Tania's death. It felt so unreal. She had watched, as everyone cried around her, as though caught in a limbo, and seeing things in slow motion.

"This can't be happening", she kept telling herself. She tried to remember her last conversation with Tania. Nothing came to mind.

"I could'nt even say Good-Bye"

She stopped believing in God. And yet, only visiting the temple everyday brought her some solace. She had returned to her flat.

Vishal visited everyday, bringing her food. If he hadn't forced her to eat, she wouldn't have survived for so long, she thought furiously. She didn't know who had called him, maybe it was Tina. She hadn't bothered to ask.

Nothing mattered anymore. Her sister was no more.

Nothing mattered anymore.

Fact of life

Once there were two brothers who lived on the 80th floor of a tall building. After coming home one day, they realised to their dismay that the lifts were not working and that they have to climb the stairs home.

After struggling to the 20th level, panting and tired, they decide to abandon their bags and come back for them the next day. They left their bags there on 20th floor and then climb on.......

By the time they reached the 40th level, they felt mad and irritated. The younger brother started grumbling and thus both of them began to quarrel.

However, they continue to climb the steps, quarreling all the way to the 60th floor Then they realize that now they have only 20 levels more to climb and decide to stop quarreling and continue climbing in peace.

They silently climb on and reach home at long last. Each stands calmly before the door and waits for the other to open the door.

But then they realize that the key was in their bag which was left at the 20th floor....

This story is a reflection on our life and times. All of us climb the tall building called life...........

some till all the 80 floors and some less. Many of us climb under the expectations of our companion. These companions are our friends and parents till the 20th floor, then our spouse and our dear ones till the next levels of the building.

We seldom get to do the things that we really like and love and are under somuch pressure and stress that by the age of 20, we get tired and decide to dump this load. Being free, we work enthusiastically and dream ambitious wishes.

By the time we reach 40 years old, we start to lose our vision and dreams. We begin to feel unsatisfied and start complaining and criticizing. We live a miserable life as we are never satisfied.

Reaching 60, w e realize that we have little left for complaining anymore, and began to walk the final episode in peace and calmness. We think that there is nothing left to disappoint us, only to realize that we could not rest in peace because we have an unfulfilled dream.......... a dream we abandoned 60 years ago.

So what's your dream.....? Know your dreams and follow it so that you will not live with regrets.Help others.

Accept yourself... Believe in yourself...Like yourself... Inside each of us are powers so strong, treasures so rich, possibilities so endless, that to command them all to action would change the history of the world.

Celebrate Life..........

Its INDIA

An American decided to write a book about famous churches around the
World.

So he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to China.

On his first day he was inside a church taking photographs when he
Noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read
"$10,000 per call".

The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what
The telephone was used for.

The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for
$10,000 you could talk to God.

The American thanked the priest and went along his way.

Next stop was in Japan. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the
Same golden telephone with the same sign under it.

He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in China and
He asked a nearby nun what its purpose was.

She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000
He
Could talk to God.

"O.K., thank you," said the American.

He then traveled to Pakistan , Srilanka , Russia , Germany and France .

In every church he saw the same golden telephone with the same "$10,000
Per call" sign under it.
The American, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel to up to India to
See if Indians had the same phone.

He arrived in India , and again, in the first church he entered, there
Was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read
"One
Rupee per call."

The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign.
"Father, I've traveled all over World and I've seen this same golden
Telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to
Heaven,
But in the US the price was $10,000 per call.

Why is it so cheap here?"

Face

Face, the most important element in a human's appearance. Its so intriguing, how a face plays with your mind and sets opnions. Your first impression of a person is strongly based on the face of the person. The face personifies the image of a person. Its so strange, that we can trust a person more if we have seen his/her face. Until we see someone, we always have a small doubt in the corner of our mind.

Doesnt matter that the face should only be beautiful. Faces can be not beautiful but still charming and luring. Some faces are more touching, some you can trust instantly. Some faces, you loathe at the first glance itself, and have a tough time dealing with that person. But one thing, again a strange fact, you tend to soften for a face, once you start seeing the face quiet often. You can actually start liking a face, even if you wanted to turn the other side on the first time.

Faces are mysterious. Some faces are expressive, telling you the unsaid too. Some faces are stoic, completely indifferent from what actually is. The worst is, some faces are deceitful; acting as a mask on the reality. I have become wary of faces, dont know they project the reality or are fraud. But still, faces play a very important role in my description of a human being (not just looks). I wonder, will I be able to get the niche of finding out whats behind a face. I think I almost have it. But somethings are so unpredictable that all your statistics go haywire; and faces fall into this category.

Faces will always perplex me, sometimes making me comfortable, sometimes making me despise, and sometimes leave me with lots of questions unanswered. But still it plays a major role in charaterization of people carrying these faces. So happy face reading everyone!
